Lasers/IPL deliver concentrated light in a specific wavelength/or band width of spectrum of light. Each wavelength is absorbed by a different target, such as pigment, blood, or water. The light pulses, heat the blood within the veins and shut them down. This process of heating of the blood, affects the vessel lining, which causes the vessel to constrict and eventually fade from view. This same technology is also used to remove or reduce unwanted pigment.

Immediately after treatment you will see one of the possible outcomes: The vessel will disappear or the vessel will darken or the vessel will shrink.
